People often say that young people are not so well educated as they used to be. They complain that they do not write as well nowadays. They also think that they read with less speed and understanding. They feel that these abilities have declined because students do not get enough education today. However, I think the problem is not that young people get less education than they once did. It is rather that other areas of education are receiving more emphasis.
